每個星期天早上，我們都會在城市、城鎮和村莊中發現一種奇怪的現象。數百萬人離開家園，從工作和娛樂中休息，並聚集在教堂裏進行禮拜。當一個人站在他們面前並發表演講時，人們靜靜地坐著聽。我們稱這個演講是講道，佈道或默想。
這裏發生什麼事了？
講道的力量在於聖靈與神的聖言、並藉著神的聖言同工。上帝應許祂的話語不會徒然返回。它的力量不在於傳道人的口才或博學，而在於聖靈的大能。講道是上帝的靈手中的工具。聖靈是超自然的存在，是三位一體的第三位。祂在講道中的存在，使講道成為一個超自然事件。
救恩是上帝作成的。沒有人能拯救自己。上帝不僅主權地決定了終點（救贖），也決定了達到這個目標的途徑（講道）。我們因此得出結論：週日早上，真實地傳講神的話語，是神聖的救贖大戲。

感謝上帝超自然能力的講道，產生出你生命中的救贖。

Perceiving
the Power of Preaching
Every
Sunday morning we observe a strange phenomenon in our cities, towns, and
villages. Millions of people leave their homes, take respite from their jobs
and recreation, and gather in church buildings for services of worship. People
sit quietly and listen while one person stands before them and gives a speech.
We call the speech a sermon, homily, or meditation.
What’s
going on here?
The
power of preaching is found in the Spirit working with the Word of God and
through the Word of God. God promises that His Word will not return to Him
void. Its power is located not in the eloquence or erudition of the preacher
but in the power of the Spirit. Preaching is a tool in the hands of the Spirit
of God. The Holy Spirit is a supernatural being, the third person of the
Trinity. His presence in preaching is what makes it a supernatural event.
Salvation
is a divine achievement. No man can save himself. God sovereignly ordains not
only the end (salvation) but the means to the end (preaching). We conclude then
that what is going on Sunday morning when the Word of God is truly preached is
a divine drama of redemption.
