尼西亚信经 The Nicene Creed

我信独一上帝,全能的父,创造天地 ,并一切可见、不可见之万物的主。
I believe in one God, the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth, and of all things visible and invisible.

我信独一的主,耶稣基督,上帝的独 生子,在万世以前为父所生,从上帝 所出的上帝,从光所出的光,从真上 帝所出的真上帝,受生、非被造、与 父同质。万物都是借着他受造。为我 们世人和我们的拯救,从天降临。因 圣灵的大能,为童贞女马利亚所生, 成为人,在本丢彼拉多手下,为我们 钉在十字架上,被害,受死,埋葬。 应验了经上的话,第三天复活,升天 ,坐在圣父的右边。将来必在荣耀中 再临,审判活人死人,他的国永无穷 尽。
 And in one Lord Jesus Christ, the only begotten Son of God, begotten of the Father before all worlds; God of God, Light of Light, very God of very God; begotten, not made, being of one substance with the Father, by whom all things were made. Who, for us men and for our salvation, came down from heaven and was incarnate by the Holy Spirit of the virgin Mary, and was made man; and was crucified also for us under Pontius Pilate; he suffered and was buried; and the third day he rose again, according to the Scriptures; and ascended into heaven, and sits on the right hand of the Father; and he shall come again, with glory, to judge the living and the dead; whose kingdom shall have no end.

我信圣灵,是主、是赐生命者,从圣 父、圣子所出,与圣父、圣子,同受 敬拜,同享尊荣;昔日藉众先知传话 。我信独一圣洁、大公、使徒所立之 教会。我承认独一洗礼使罪得赦。我 盼望死人的复活,并来世的生命。阿 们!
And I believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord and Giver of life; who proceeds from the Father and the Son; who with the Father and the Son together is worshipped and glorified; who spoke by the prophets. And I believe in one holy catholic and apostolic church. I acknowledge one baptism for the remission of sins; and I look for the resurrection of the dead, and the life of the world to come. Amen.

我认使罪得赦的独一洗礼;

尼西亞信經NICENE CREED是在西元325年第一次召開的教會議會中制定 的。當時亞利烏(Arius, 256-336)及其理論在教會中造成分裂, 他主張聖子為聖父所造,因此與聖父不同本質。此說被亞歷山大 的主教定為異端,但后來卻因他的口才與政治長才,得蒙亞城之 外地區的支持,而造成兩派的對立。羅馬皇帝君士坦丁 Constantine)深恐教會會因此分裂,于是在325 年尼西亞這個 地方召開會議,深盼在神學觀點上取得共識。議會共有318位主教 參加,除了少數幾位來自西方教會之外,其余皆是說希臘語的東方 教會代表,而這其中又分為安提阿的亞利烏派,亞歷山大的正統派 及由歷史家優西比烏(Eusebius, 260-340)所領導的中間派。當 亞利烏派的代表優西比烏(非歷史家)提出其信仰論點時,立即受 到強烈的否定,且被定為異端;于是在皇帝的特使侯休斯(Hosius of Cordova)的領導之下,完成了《尼西亞信經》,並經所有主教 的簽名表示接納。此信經被送到帝國各處,是第一個具有權威又普 遍的信仰告白。 《尼西亞信經》很明顯的是反對亞利烏的神學:子是“從真神而 來的真神”,雖是生出的,卻是“從父而來”,而“非受造”;而且 子是“從父的本體而來”,並且“與父本體相同”,都是針對亞利烏 派錯誤而提出的。 此信經與今日教會使用的《尼西亞信經》並不完全相同,后 者較前者為長,且不包含一些《尼西亞信經》中重要的用語。為 何有此演變,則無人知曉了!

The Nicene Creed (Greek: Σύμβολον τῆς Νικαίας or τῆς πίστεως, Latin: Symbolum Nicaenum) is a profession of faith widely used in Christian liturgy.
It is called Nicene /ˈnaɪsiːn/ because it was originally adopted in the city of Nicaea (present dayIznik, Turkey) by the First Council of Nicaea in 325.[1] In 381, it was amended at the First Council of Constantinople, and the amended form is referred to as the Nicene or the Niceno-Constantinopolitan Creed.
The churches of Oriental Orthodoxy and the Assyrian churches use this profession of faith with the verbs in the original plural ("we believe") form. The Eastern Orthodox Church and theRoman Catholic Church use it with the verbs of believing changed to the singular ("I believe") form. The Anglican Communion and many Protestant denominations also use it, sometimes with the verbs of believing in the plural form but generally in the singular.
The Apostles' Creed is also used in the Latin West, but not in the Eastern liturgies.[2][3][4] OnSundays and some other days, one or other of these two creeds is recited in the Roman RiteMass after the homily. The Nicene Creed is also part of the profession of faith required of those undertaking important functions within the Catholic Church.[5][6]
In the Byzantine Rite, the Nicene Creed is sung or recited at the Divine Liturgy, immediately preceding the Anaphora (Eucharistic Prayer), and is also recited daily at compline.[7][8]
